Post Interview!!!
THE XCENTRIKZ: Okay, so I heard your friend was doing webcomics and you got inspired by that, for starters. Tell me more about that.

The Bryan: Che? He didn't post any of them online. I think it was called "Veggie Life," we were all vegetables. He made about a dozen of them, and that was it. He was inspired by http://www.reallifecomics.com. I've been reading that since the beginning. Basically I was inspired, because someone was inspired, because someone was inspired. Then all my friends jumped on the band wagon of comics and posted them on our cult…I mean our groups (known as the SFK) website. Eventually the wagon crashed into a tree and burned down the tree, forest, and half of a village. Those were better days.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: How did your comic’s cool characters get invented?

Bryano: Wait, which ones are the cool ones? Are you implying not all of them are cool? This interview is over, shut it down.

Each character actually has their own way of joining EB. Like Kate and Nortan for instance, didn't join the cast like it shows on the site. There are some missing comics…from my MS paint days. Matt and Dave though…they originally were my personality split in two. I have a bunch of explanations about each character…but that alone is a whole different story.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: The Flash character screen with all the stats is totally awesome and hilarious. I love all the “did you know” factoids!! How’d you come up with this?

Bry-Bry: I've always been bummed out by other webcomic character pages. The characters are their babies, you got to make them sparkle damn it. Don't treat them like some 14yr old asking for money. Originally I wanted it to be like a fighting game selection, like Marvel vs. Capcom. I even thought about making a mini sprite fighting game with my characters. That idea went down in flames of my shame. The stats thing came from a huge part of my childhood. Being smacked around by my dad- Marvel Cards! I was HUGE into Marvel cards. But my favorite set (besides the Spider-man one..which I'm like 14 cards short of having the full set) was the 1991 set. I changed some of the things around, but it mostly came from that. I'm probably still violating all sorts of copyrights…but I'm not afraid of the super giant that is Disney, Marvel.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: Whaddya think are your wittiest one-liners in the comic? Anything you’re really proud of?

Bryan Jackson©Marvel and Disney: I really like the penguin suit and wolf aids joke. But it's gotten a lot harder to write one liners. Because I'm racist.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ:  I heard you’d be more enthused about Earth Beta IF it were a TV series (thus why you call portions of the comic seasons and not chapters). That’s a high goal to shoot for, but who knows? It could pay off for you later. Tell us (and any possible listening producers, haha) what it’d be like: Earth Beta: The Animated Series!

Bryan-lion: High to shoot for? I will buy your entire family when I get there. I actually animated about 45 seconds of the EB: Origins story. I have about 3 minutes of audio too, and even a theme song. That no one will see. Ever. EVER.

But to clear things up about that, I'm not trying to become a cartoon. My writing and jokes would work a LOT better if it was animated though. Because I studied the crap on comedy shows and comedy writing. But there isn't anything out there about comic writing…like web comics. There is a lot of work involved that you wouldn't even know.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ:  Have you ever tried cartooning classes or books to improve? Or are you just naturally awesome?

Bry: Ha, I don't hear that often. Thank you. I didn't take my drawing seriously until about a year ago. I think I've grown a lot in my skill, but I'm still working hard to improve. I've never taken any classes, but I do have a few books, and watched a lot of youtube videos. Did you see the one with the dog pooping on the baby? LEGEN- wait for it...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ:  What do you usually do to motivate yourself to do updates regularly?

Briana: DARY. I pretend I have a girlfriend and I make money. Then I go to sleep alone in my cardboard box fantasizing about how awesome I am.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: Has someone in public ever recognized you because of Earth Beta? Whether it’s happened yet, or not - Do you find it flattering, or kind of weird?

Action Jackson: Of course, that happens all the time. Earth Beta in english also means sex offender. My neighbors are always yelling "sex offender" when ever I cross into their yard to play with their kid. It makes me happy that someone recognizes my art. For real though, I did land a fan girl girlfriend for 3 years because of EB. She was also a fan girl of other guys while were dating. They didn't make web comics though. They just had sex with her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: What’s it like for you to get the word out on Earth Beta? Do you work hard at it, or do the dedicated fans spread it around?

All-star: I did buy advertising on http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com once and http://www.allancomic.com . I was told to be a forum whore, and that'd help promote the comic. That's not me though. I already spend enough time reading all the facebook and deviant art updates, and spend 12 hours working on a comic. Screw forums, forums can burn from blood clouds that shoot out acid rain and flaming swords. Please check out the Earth Beta forums at index.php.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: What are some of your difficult moments as a comic creator?

Kevin: Probably horniness and hunger. Both at the same time is the apocalypse of creativity. You'll never get a comic done with those two in the way. Besides that I'd have to say yourself. You create as many problems as you make. Simple advice for anyone in the biz, don't care. Don't care about how many fans, web hits, money you make, or even the time it takes to do it. Do it for the sake of your enjoyment and don't care. I check my site stats 14 times a day and my e-mail 43 times a hour. Because I don't care.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: What’s the most rewarding part, for you, about doing comics?

Kentosai: There…are…rewards…? When will I get my shiny pieces? For me, the biggest reward is when someone positively comments on a comic. Being complimented is the best. I like to be told my hair looks awesome or my eyes are as beautiful as a weeping willow in a summer breeze. I guess getting comments about my comic is nice too.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: Are there any cool people who mentor you or cheer you on? How do they affect Earth Beta?

Kent: Sometimes people cheer me on. But typically get bitched at. I have no mentors or art/writing friends. I wish I did though. I'd like having some art friends who could make me feel like an kid with a safety crayon. I'd grow a ton faster if I had those guys in my life. It's been 8 years since I've worked with an artist. And 26 years since someone loved me. I'm 26 now. Wait…is that more funny or sad? Are you laughing yet…? *sniffle

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: How about this… What was the last book you read? Movie you saw? Music you listened to?

Waldo: I just finished The Deathly Hallows the second time. Other wise I'd be reading an art book…like Clifford goes to the zoo or Curious George: The Case of the Missing Banana. The last movie I saw was Lizzie McGuire, I like her way more than Hannah Montana. Oh and that one song…hows it go? Ring ring ring ring ring ring baaaannnaaannaaa Phoneeeee. Ring ring ring….oh god….i'm bleeding….

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: Whaddya like doing most to relax by yourself? And how about with friends?

Hey you: Watching comedy sitcoms or comedy movies or sesame street for their political satire. I like playing Beerpong with my friends. I'm very competitive, and I've won 8/10 times. Because I cheat.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: If you could have a superpower for one day, what would you pick, and what would you do with it?

OH Great it's Bryyyyan: I read your question. One power? Screw that. I'd be Spider-man. I've seriously thought, over five billion times, of changing my name to Peter Parker. The only reason I haven't is because I like how I sign my name. That's the only thing stopping me. I'm not joking. And if I could only be him for one day, I'd probably kill myself when that day was over. What's the point of living after you've been Spider-man for one day. What, be NOT Spider-man for the rest of your life? Pftttt.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: So how do you feel future of the webcomic biz? And how do you feel about the future of Earth Beta?

Bryana-na-na-na-na: Web comics are becoming the Sunday funnies of the internet. My guess is eventually there will be syndication, and distribution of products, and legal contracts. It's already working that way. As for the future of Earth Beta, I don't know. Realistically, I see only two options for EB. One, a big comic could promote my comic and then I'd be obligated to do more work and update more often. Right now though, I just keep my decent update schedule and enjoy the nice sized work load. My motivation and effort is based on fan participation and the amount of fans I have. Because I'm stat whore tool. Please love me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: Would you like to share something else? Give everybody a huge teaser here!

Who are you, why are you in my bed?: I have nine dead bodies in my basement. I dress them up as characters from "the office" and we act out the latest episodes. I don't post the videos because youtube has a very strict policy on copyrighted material. I play the part of Michael Scott. I typically make jokes about the office being like a morgue and they shouldn't be so stiff. I awkwardly hit on the hot ones too.

There's going to be a giant story twist in about 2-3 comics. I will also be unlocking/revealing another character when that happens.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE XCENTRIKZ: Sweet! Keep it up doing your groovy stuff for us all, and take it easy man. Hey readers, go and check out this awesome comic.

Some of the answers in the interview were censored. I'm still laughing about it.
